IPL Auction 2017 to be held in February at Bengaluru

The IPL players auction for season 10, will be the final edition under the existing 10-year contract. As of now, Indian Premier League 2017 auction is supposed to take place in the first week of February. It will be the final edition of the tournament under the existing 10-year contract.

BCCI President Anurag Thakur, BCCI Secretary Ajay Shirke, IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla, former India captain Sourav Ganguly, Jharkhand Cricket Association chief Amitabh Choudhary and Punjab Cricket Association President MP Pandove attended the meeting.

"There is a proposal to start IPL 10 from April 5," IPL Governing Council chairman Rajeev Shukla said. "The auctions will happen in Bengaluru on February 4.

IPL franchises conference will be held in Dubai. Ban on Maharashtra and Pune for conducting IPL matches is expected to lifted in this edition of the tournament. IPL franchises also discussed the operational issues of the cash-rich tournament after the complete ban of 500 and 1000 denominations.

As per the norms, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hosting the Opening Ceremony and finals of Indian Premier League 2017.
